Since meeting The Lifestyle Edit founder Naomi Mdudu earlier this year, I’ve been super keen to host a dinner celebrating female founders – there are so many incredible entrepreneurs and businesswomen out there so it’s about time us ladies got together for an evening of delicious food and even better company.
Yesterday evening, Naomi and I invited a group of inspirational girl bosses to Social Pantry Café for a 4-course dinner (with delicious drinks from Tanqueray gin) to share their successes, struggles and more importantly to support each other. In my eyes, nothing beats sharing a gorgeous plate of food with friends and it was a pleasure to welcome some seriously talented ladies at the cafe to enjoy a seasonal feast.
Covering all fashion bases we had resort-wear designer Holly Scarsella (PAMPELONE), shoe designer Jennifer Chamandi and damn cool bridesmaid dress designer Fran Hudson (Rewritten). Also at the table was author, blogger and podcast founder Emma Gannon, nutritionist and yoga teacher Libby Limon, natural skincare brand Balance Me founder Rebecca Hopkins, creative headhunting founder Rachel Saywell-Burr (Talent Atelier) and Floom founder Lana Elie – one hell of a bunch, I know you’ll agree.
With stories of staying up until 3am emailing buyers in New York and learning Italian in four months to present a pitch, the evening was full of funny shared anecdotes and I couldn’t have been more inspired and overwhelmed by the achievements of everyone in the room. It was the perfect example of how business doesn’t have to be competitive and that through collaboration, amazing things can happen.
With that in mind, we’d love you to join us on the 24th August for a supper club with a difference: think networking but with a girl boss, good food twist. Want to find out more? Tickets for The Lifestyle Edit x Social Pantry supper club are available here – get one before they’re gone!
