F E B R U A R Y
If you’ve been abstaining from alcohol/meat/fun in January you’ll probably be very pleased to see the back of ‘the most depressing month of the year’. The beginning of a new year can often be a struggle; adjusting back to your daily routine after the Christmas break is never easy, especially when the weather is cold and the general mood is low. With that in mind, I’ve compiled a list of things I’m loving and looking forward to in February – none of which involve a cheesy Valentines date, phew!
Eat Happy by Melissa Hemsley
I love a good cookbook and Melissa’s debut solo book is full of comforting, indulgent and flavoursome recipes – all healthy, quick and easy to make from ingredients you’ll find in your local supermarket.
Yoga Brunch Club at 42 Acres
What better way to spend your Saturday than with a relaxing morning of yoga and delicious food at the beautiful 42 Acres in Shoreditch on 17th February? Tickets are already sold out BUT you can sign-up for the waitlist here – if you aren’t able to get a spot, Social Pantry Cafe has a fantastic selection of seasonal, fresh brunch dishes; available all weekend, every weekend.
On a recent evening out, I was lucky enough to enjoy one of the most delicious meals I’ve had in London to date. The restaurant? Newly opened Nuala in Old Street. If you only visit one place in London this February, make it Nuala – you won’t regret it.
Are you loving all the insta Rhubarb pics flooding through your feed? Rhubarb season is basically here and as much as I love a homemade crumble, few things showcase this delicious seasonal fruit like a tart with frangipane base and pistachio crumb… Find the recipe on Country & Town House here.
Barbour Annfield sweater
The days might be getting longer and brighter but I’m definitely not ready to start packing away my winter knitwear; this asymmetric Barbour number ticks all the boxes to see you through February to Spring in style. I am a fan of a big cosy jumper and February is the perfect month to enjoy one.
