What I’m Loving: September

I’ve compiled a list of things I’m loving in September; from food to homeware and restaurants. What’s on your agenda this month?

Global pandemic or not, September is usually a strange, transitional month. As we adjust to Autumnal weather, we’ll soon bid farewell to the long, warm evenings and al fresco dinners of Summer. Our ‘new normal’ home/work routine will hopefully resume some sort of regularity as the kids go back to schools too.

For me, Autumn is the perfect time to embrace intimate social gatherings around the dinner table. Who doesn’t love getting cosy with a glass of wine in hand?! Even better if you can support independent producers, restaurants and shops by buying locally for your next ‘big night in’.

The Source Bulk Foods
With over 450 bulk foods including organic whole-foods, oils, snacks and sustainable personal and household products, The Source Bulk Foods has quickly become my go-to for quality ingredients without unnecessary packaging. Shop online or find stores in Battersea, Brighton and Chiswick.

Camembert, Fig & Basil Toastie
September marks the end of Summer berries and brings with it an abundance of delicious autumnal fruits. One of my favourites is the humble fig. I collaborated with Le Rustique to create a series of mouthwatering recipes and this Camembert, Fig & Basil Toastie is the ultimate luxury snack.

Molly Mahon
I’ve recently become a little bit obsessed with everything from designer and block-print maker Molly Mahon’s website. Her uplifting and colourful homewares provide a playful injection of brightness to any room; perfect if you’re looking to revamp your space for Winter. On my list is this natural linen table runner (below) and sunny print made with fabric remnants by Craft Boat in Jaipur.

ME+EM Wide-Leg Crop Jean
As the days start getting cooler and shorter, I’ll soon be trading floaty dresses and bare legs for trousers and my favourite Veja trainers. These super soft wide-leg ME+EM khaki jeans are the perfect transitional piece to see you through Autumn. Great for a weekend with the family, meetings with investors and dinner with friends.
