It’s always a total treat being asked to join Gaby Roslin and the gang for her brilliant BBC London Radio show. Over the last few years I’ve been a regular food guest, presenting the latest food trends and whilst championing seasonal, fresh and delicious ingredients and flavours.
This weekend, Gaby welcomed me in the studio to talk all things Social Pantry, working with ex-offenders, how sherry is making a comeback and the latest projects I’ve been working on (here’s looking at you Pitzhanger).
I always bring something tasty for the guests to enjoy and one of the main challenges, as I am sure you can imagine, is to always impress. Any dish you take into the studio HAS to look amazing, taste even better and be easy to chat about (with confidence!) on air. Thankfully, Gaby is the perfect host – putting everyone at ease with her easygoing and naturally hilarious nature.
This Sunday I took in a Social Pantry classic: labneh and sweet potato hummus with fresh, crunchy vegetables. Needless to say they didn’t last long, after all, who can resist a good crudité?! I’m already looking forward to my next visit to the studio…
