Much to my delight, fresh pasta is having a bit of a moment in London; perhaps it’s because people have finally realised that carbs aren’t the devil or maybe it’s just because a good plate of pasta is the food equivalent of cuddling up in front of a fire during Winter, either way it’s everywhere you look.
Walk past Borough Market and it’s almost impossible not to notice the enormous queue snaking out of Padella. All day, every day. Flick through Instagram and you’ll no doubt come across carefully curated pictures of wholesome pasta plates at Luca. There are some fantastic restaurants dedicated to serving this delicious, comforting carb but what about the days you don’t fancy queueing in the rain/snow/cold for hours on end?
Enter Pasta Evangelists. It’s been a busy couple of weeks with events at Social Pantry HQ so it’s been difficult making time to cook dinner from scratch. Thankfully Pasta Evangelists were on hand and I’ve recently enjoyed a couple of delicious dishes including sea bass tortellini and beef shin ragu – both were so simple to make and totally satisfied my craving for a hearty, fresh meal.
There are some exciting projects in the pipeline that I can’t wait to share with you -more details to be announced, watch this space!
