I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been shortlisted by The Caterer as ‘Innovator of the Year’ at their annual Shine Awards – hurrah!
The awards were established to celebrate the achievements and skills of women working in the hospitality industry and this year includes fellow girl bosses from the likes of Expedia, Thomas Cook and Compass Group. The award recognises people that are doing something extraordinary to push the boundaries and challenge traditional ways of thinking in business.
I’ve been shortlisted for my work with Social Pantry’s wonderful charity partner Key4Life – a UK organisation that addresses the root causes of youth reoffending by delivering an innovative rehabilitation programme to young people in prison. I currently employ 5 young ex-offenders as part of my full-time kitchen team and am helping them reintegrate into society by acting as a mentor, guide and friend. It’s so important that these young men enjoy their time with us and can take away valuable life skills that’ll set them in good stead for future.
The winners won’t be announced until the beginning of October so let’s keep our fingers and toes
